Sometimes I’m just so in love with a cake that I want to share every little detail – every flower, every angle – so you can love it as much as I do!
Lola’s Christening cake is one of those.
When Lola’s Mummy asked for pale pink and purple daisies and angel wings, I knew it was going to be a good one!
I can’t even tell you how obsessed I am with these colours!
It’s such a meaningful family celebration. Giving thanks for the life of the little one – the joy they bring to the family and a chance for loved ones to formally commit to care for the child and support their development as they grow.
My cakes are all about the details – the tiny flowers around the edges, the message, the shade of the ribbon and the love that goes into making them.
Celebration cakes help make memories and that’s why I love what I do. The cake is the centrepiece, the wow factor, the crowning glory of the occasion.
Done right – it sums up the emotion and theme of the day.
Lola won’t remember her Christening cake. But I hope one day she’ll look at the photographs and realise this cake was all about her. It was her family’s way of sharing their love and promising their commitment until she’s grown.
So here’s to little Lola – I hope one day she’ll find her wings and embrace life in all it’s fullness.
