Guess what, I’m in my new happy place!
It’s finally open. After months of waiting, and hoping, and imagining, I finally get to bring my Macbook on a chilly Friday morning to #BigProv as it’s affectionately known and soak up the atmosphere.
If you haven’t found Providero (3) yet, its on Upper Mostyn Street right opposite Johnny Dough’s Pizza.
It’s only been open a few days but there’s s a real buzz in the air this morning.
People are calling in for their first visit, looking around, taking in the sights and the smells, checking out the coffee menu, eyeing up the cakes.
The Providero ethos seems to really resonate with people. It’s a business with an independent heart that runs right through everything they do.
Since the very beginning Providero have championed Heartland Coffee, produced less than a mile away in the Heartland Roastery and roasted just days, sometimes hours before it hits the cup. You can buy beans or ground at Providero, or you can call round to Builder Street and watch your beans being roasted, which is quite fun!
It started with Providero 1 – a old Citroen van serving hot coffee to passers by on Colwyn Bay Promenade as well as festivals, weddings, and events.
Then Providero 2 popped up in Llandudno Junction and everyone was talking about it.
Just this morning I’ve greeted 4 different groups of people I know but did not expect to see. Friends catching up, Mums and daughters sharing time and couples spending their day off together.
If you are a coffee snob, you’ll be amongst friends and if you love fine tea you’ll return again and again. There’s breakfast, lunch and all sorts of delicious sweet treats too.
There’s good news for private groups and meetings too. They’ll soon be opening a room downstairs that can be hired for events, networking groups, training sessions – whatever you need.
Providero is an unbelievable asset to Llandudno, so if you’ve not discovered it yet, then get yourself down here and you might just find the coffee really does have a heart – quite literally.
I’ll be the one in the corner typing feverishly ……
