Elissa Rose has no idea what a pretty cake we made for her baptism! But when she’s older her parents will tell her about it and show her photographs – maybe even show her this blog.
When Elissa Rose was baptised in August, we were delighted to make her the prettiest of cakes for her special day. The service took place at the Methodist Church in Craig y Don followed by celebration BBQ at Bodafon Farm Park overlooking Llandudno Bay.
We absolutely love it when the client just says “pink and yellow, something pretty”. We mixed together a whole set of shades that blended really well together from the softest pink to a pale claret. The idea of this cake was it would be covered in little blossoms, all different, like a summer meadow with butterflies fluttering around.
We think it’s the perfect baptism cake and hope when Elissa Rose is older she will love it too.
We delivered the cake on a sunny Sunday morning in time for the family returning from Church, and what a joy it was to meet Elissa Rose and her parents. They were all delightful. I don’t always get to meet the client as I usually delivery before the events, but it’s always nice to put faces to names and see the happiness on their faces when they see their cake.
This cake would make a gorgeous birthday cake too for a little girl, or even an older girl and we’d absolutely love to make it again. It could be done in a different colour scheme.
It’s clean, classic and very pretty.
God bless you Elissa Rose. We hope you grow up to be a strong independent woman who loves her family, finds her place in the world and makes a difference doing something amazing.
