MY 2019 GOALS

Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions this year?

Let me guess?  You joined the gym (and maybe bought some new trainers) ?  You plan (hope) to lose a stone?  You’re giving up sugar forever?

How’s it going?

You might ok for a few weeks but then real life kicks in – it’s too cold to go to the gym, that pizza is calling your name, and you start dreaming in chocolate buttons.

It’s pretty hopeless, but we all do it anyway – for about 3 weeks!

THERE’S NOTHING MAGICAL ABOUT 1 JANUARY

About 12 months ago I came across the Cultivate What Matters brand. They specialise in goal setting for people who don’t like setting goals. Perfect.

First of all I ordered a 6 month goal planner to see if it worked for me.

It really did.

January is a great time for planning so I’ve taken advantage of the quiet and spent some time working through my Powersheets.  I thought I would be brave this year and give you a peek into some of my goals with you. They fall into 5 life areas – Home & Family; Work; Self Care, Faith; and Finance.

Goal 1 Home & Family

Tidy up the garden and plant up the rockery. Then rockery has been a bit untidy for a few years and we’d like to plant it up with alpines that flower through the spring and summer.

Goal 2 Work

Make listening to podcasts a regular routine. I’ve downloaded some great podcasts from ladies I follow and can’t wait to get started.

Goal 3 Self-Care

Walk 10,000 steps every day. I know, but when you work from home it’s surprisingly easy to not move for long periods of time. I love walking and it’s so good for my mental health.

Goal 4 Faith

Read more books. I’ve always loved reading from a young age, but it’s so easy to get distracted with instagram or an evening of Luther. I’ll be reading more fiction, non fiction and christian books and writing about them on the blog.

Goal 5  Finance

Be as organised with our home finances as I am with the business.  Biz accounts require monthly updates, a careful spreadsheet, and yearly visits to the accountant. Home finances are a bit neglected. So I want to get organised, have a monthly sit down with Mr Bond and start saving for our next adventure.

YOUR 2019 GOALS
