Stuck for a gift idea for Mother’s Day? Something that smells nice but lasts longer than flowers? Something that she’ll love and makes her feel amazing but has zero calories? Read on …
Jessica Cunnah is quite a marvel. She’s North Wales born and bred and works full time in a very demanding professional job. She bought a ‘project’ cottage last year and renovated it herself. And then, because she could – she started her own business. And she’s not even 30 yet!
Hattie & Beau was born last September, aptly named after her 2 beloved terriers. Yes, you heard me right. Last September. Just 6 months ago.
You might have seen Hattie & Beau fragrance burners in a number of hair and beauty salons across North Wales. That’s where I discovered her – in my regular salon ID Hair, Rhos on Sea. You might have noticed, we featured the burners in our Thoughtful Christmas Gift Guide. I have one on my mantelpiece which I light with joy every evening.
Jess hand makes the soy wax melt pots in small batches from her cottage in North Wales. They come in a range of gorgeous scents made from highly scented premium fragrance oils.
Here’s a little taster …
Sea Salt, Bay & Blackberry, Black Pomegranate, Lime, Basil & Mandarin, Tranquility, Fig & Cassis, Bergamot & Verbena. Which would you choose? At just £2 each you could have a handful.
Jess, being Jess, was not satisfied with selling lovely burners and melts all over the place – so she’s brought out 2 new product lines – to celebrate 6 months in business! I told you she was a marvel.
The packaging is beautiful, exclusive looking and fully recyclable. It will make a fabulous gift, if you can bear to give it away. And the smell – well, it’s incredible. When I was photographing the products for this blog. I opened the reeds to put in the bottle and the smell filled the room within a minute. I kid you not. It’s now in the bathroom, and (I know we live in a cottage too) literally fills the whole house. Simply wonderful.
Which reminds me, I need to tell you about the reeds. In case you think they’re just ordinary reeds! Nothing ordinary here – they’re porex e-reeds, market leading, unique colour and silky soft. Jess tells me (and she’s super-excited) they’re a rare find and really enhance the scent.
We are thrilled to be able to offer one of you the chance to win a Mother’s Day bundle for yourself (why not?) or one of the great ladies in your life.
You could win – in the fragrance of your choice (subject to availability)
(Please remember that these products are handmade in small batches and not all the scents are available all the time)
Check out our pinned post on Facebook and our Instagram too for details of how to enter. It’s really easy and no bother at all. If you’re an Insta-bunny or a Facebook-Fan then we’d love you to follow us and give Hattie & Beau some love too – Jess has a lovely instagram page.
We really hope all of your win! But if you don’t, you can head over and treat yourself to something delightful on the Hattie & Beau Etsy page
So there it is – Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums, Grannies, Aunties, and great ladies in our lives who we truly appreciate on this day and every day.
