FAQs

With so many options available for your cake, we try to make it all as simple as possible. Here are some answers to common questions. If you need more information please send us an email and we’ll do our best to help.

How much notice should we give for our cake?

We like as much notice as possible, so that we can avoid disappointment.

When planning your wedding, we advise you to contact us as soon as your venue is booked. We only accept one wedding per weekend so that we can focus our full attention on that cake.

For birthdays and celebration cakes we like a few months’ notice, more if possible.

For business events, we would suggest you let us know as soon as your date is fixed.

Can we order a last minute cake?

If you need a cake in a hurry, do get in touch because sometimes we can fit one in with as little as a week’s notice.

Do you have more photos of cakes apart from those on your website?

Yes! We run a busy kitchen and are making beautiful new creations every week. Our portfolio has many different styles to inspire you and we love to work with our clients to design a cake that will perfectly compliment the feel and styling of your event.

What is the process of ordering a cake?

We recommend that you make an initial enquiry by email or using our contact form, giving us the date of your occasion, delivery location, number of guests and your design thoughts, so we can give you a rough price guide. Then we can either book you in for a full wedding consultation and tasting or for other events discuss details via email, to finalise a design and quote.

Can we use fresh flowers on our wedding cake?

If you plan to decorate your cake with fresh flowers we’ll be happy to liaise with your florist, prior to the wedding, to make sure your flowers are suitable for the cake, and everything is coordinated and set-up on the day.

Can we hire a stand from Judith Bond Cakes?

We can offer the loan of a variety of cake or cupcake stands for your wedding for a small additional cost and will liaise with the venue over the set-up. You may wish to use a stand provided by the venue, but it needs to be measured carefully to make sure it is suitable for your cake.

Do we need to collect our wedding cake or will you delivery it?

Judith will take care of the delivery and set up of your wedding cake, as you will have plenty of other things to worry about on the day, If you have hired a stand from us, we can call the following week to collect it.
