When your wife reaches a momentous birthday and your marriage turns golden - it calls for a big celebration and of course 2 cakes!

A centre-piece cake with matching cupcakes is always a winning combination but this order brought the additional “challenge” of keeping the 2 celebrations distinct, but blending the style to create a matching effect.

We decided to go with a gold colour palette for the Golden Wedding leaning into spring shades featuring daffodils - a meaningful flower for the clients. I popped in a few sunflowers to bring warmth and sunshine.

The cupcakes were baked in yellow and cream cases with a touch of caramel in the whipped buttercream
