Stunning & Exceptionally Tasty
If you visit Llandudno in early summer you’ll find Conference season in full swing here in the Queen of Welsh Resorts. We play host to many different conferences and events during the year including the political parties and other big business events. Venue Cymru, our Theatre, Arena and Conference space, is ideal for the biggest crowd with a promenade filled with great hotels to accommodate all our delegates.
When TUC Cymru asked us to help them with their 50th Anniversary Drinks Reception for 150 guests. Well of course we said YES!
I worked closely with them over a couple of months to agree the design and numbers. We decided on a large square cutting cake created around a specially designed event logo with matching cupcakes displayed on 2 cupcakes towers. TUC’s brand colours are a deep shade of burgundy with white so I took a range of shades from burgundy though pink to white to lift the cake and give it the wow factor.
The Imperial Hotel is a regular venue for cake deliveries with a great team of event staff that are so happy to help. I was delighted to be shown into their largest meeting room which is bathed in natural light - brilliant for showing the cake off, and for a photographs.

If you’re planning a big cupcake event and you’re not sure of dietary requirements I always suggest allowing for 10% of the cakes to be gluten free. I will always present the “made without gluten” cakes separately with clear labeling so that everyone can relax and eat safely.
