Like a work of art
Happy July. I’m celebrating summer with this super colourful birthday cake that just sings happiness.
Teals, purples and corals for a fun 90th birthday. This one was soft madeira sponge with lashings of whipped vanilla buttercream and a generous layer of seedless raspberry jam. A crowd-pleaser and my most requested flavour. Check our my cake menu for more inspiration.
If you’re interested - for my cake colours I use a mix of the oil blends from Colour Mill and colour pastes from Sugarflair products. Colour mixing is probably my favourite part of the decorating process. I just love chosing 3 or 4 colours and blending a bunch of shades to make a gorgous pallette. It’s just so pleasing!
