Imagine you’re invited to glorious North Wales on a sunny June afternoon for a lunch with all your closest friends. But there’s more - it’s at the 4* Quay Hotel, on the Deganwy Marina, with glorious waterfront views of the Conwy estuary. What could be better? Ah yes, just one thing - THE CAKE.

“Exactly as I wanted”

Jen - the birthday girl - chose a large 12” square cake for her 35 guests. She opted for vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam - a really crowd pleaser. We decorated with hand cut flower and seashells to reflect her love of nature and the seaside, all in her favourite shades of burgundy through to soft blush pink.

Jen ordered 12 matching cupcakes topped with whipped buttercream and decorated with shells and flowers.

When I walked into the function room with huge picture windows over looking the Conwy Estuary, and saw Jenny in her beautiful dress that perfectly matched my cake, I knew we’d got it right.
